Morrissey resumes US tour and reschedules datesMorrissey will resume his tour of the US this evening with a performance at the Wolf Trap in Vienna, VA.
The singer had been suffering from a viral throat infection which caused him to quit a show in Boston last week (June 26) after just seven songs. Under advice from doctors, the former Smiths man then cancelled the remaining shows for the week including one at Madison Square Garden in New York.
The Boston show has been rescheduled and will take place this Saturday (July 7), with further dates to be announced for the rescheduled shows in New York, Philadelphia and Northampton. Tickets for all the shows, including Boston, will be honoured at the rescheduled shows. Patrick Wolf to play grand tour 'Finale'
Patrick Wolf is to play a special London show as part of his Finale Tour.
His gig at Shepherd's Bush Empire will be split into two halves, first with Wolf playing solo with a grand piano, before being joined by a full band for the second half.
The two halves will be separated by an intermission.
The title of the tour does not mean he is retiring, however.
A statement says: "To avoid any confusion that this might mean he is retiring, this will in fact be the last show for a while and that, from here, he will go off to finish writing and recording his next album."
